The city of Pflugerville gets its name from its founder, Henry Pfluger,
and his son Conrad. The Pfluger family settled the area in 1849, and shortly
thereafter, a dam was built on a nearby creek to create a refilling station

It was at that time that George Pfluger registered the platt for Pflugerville,
