This year, our goal is to celebrate our women in Austin, TX by giving away free purple rose bouquets when visiting us at our shop!
International Women’s Day is annually held on March 8th to celebrate women’s achievements throughout the world and history. It’s the best time to honor someone you know who has been a huge source of inspiration, knowledge, and support in your life. Ways to Celebrate Local Women
On our previous International Women’s Day post, we suggested a few awesome things to do to celebrate and honor women. A brief reminder of those things are:
1.) Going on a shopping spree for sanitary items, toiletries, cosmetics, etc. to be donated to a local woman’s shelter and domestic violence shelters.
2.) Mentoring young women in the workplace or local schools. Find someone you can help build and inspire to maintain ambition and motivation to reach their goals.
3.) Volunteer at a local charity that supports women. Almost every major city has a local Habitat for Humanity or a YWCA. A list of a few local non-profit organizations we support is a good start for guidance.
4.) Wearing something purple on March 8th to honor every woman in the world for International Women’s Day.
5.) Join a local march or networking event for women. Search here for local events happening near you!
